I painted this snowscape in the studio last weekend, and captured the progression of the painting from start to finish, which I later used to create a movie (see below). I’m still really enjoying this subject matter. I think I need to work on the reddish brush a bit more, to make it more atmospheric.

I enjoy these videos of yours. It’s interesting to get an insight into your working methods, although I think they make it look easier than it is!
I like the sense of light in this one and the complimentary colors in the snow shadows and the brush.

I would have to say this is my fav video yet, and I haven’t been by in awhile to see all the other work you posted, looks great! They finally put your issue of American Artist out for sale at the local bookstore. Great photos/closeups of your work in there, and that also looks great. How come they printed your palette info with vasari paints ?
Hey Daniel, Thanks! The American Artist article was a big milestone for me. I still can’t believe it.
They did make a mistake, however. As you know, I don’t use Vasari. I told them Classic Artist Oils, and apparently, Vasari has a line of paint called the same thing. Oh well.
