If you are interested in signing up for either a group workshop or individual instruction, these can be scheduled by sending your request to us via email (click here).

Introduction to Plein Air Painting
with Verde Artist Guild instructor Ed Terpening

This workshop is usually given one-and-one between Ed Terpening and one student, although sometimes small groups of no more than 3 are allowed.  We feel that when getting started, this personal instruction is most useful.    The curriculum includes:·
  • History of painting plein air
  • Understanding visual perception
  • Keys to getting a good start
  • Composition, Values, Color
  • Resources for continuing on your own
The cost for this workshop is $100 for one person or $75/person for small groups.  The class if 5 hours.
  • Review materials list for the class.  On the sign up form, you also have the option of renting equipment/materials from the instructors.
  • Maps to the first meeting place and more information will be mailed prior to the class.
