I had a great weekend this week! Three good paintings, no scrapes. Everything went so well. Sure, I wish it was a bit warmer, but the light was perfect. I wish I had the time paint a dozen more. Hopefully more of the same as I take a couple of weeks to paint in Sourthern California.

I did two 8×10 studies in Moss Beach at the corner of Juliana and Wienke Way. It’s really a wonderful, undiscovered spot.  I found it while getting lost on the way to Fitzgerald Marine Preserve.
Here’s the first, the second I’ll post tomorrow (although I’m going to try and paint then as well…it’s hard to balance painting & blogging!).

The color of the shadow was such an incredible blue. That’s basically relfected light from the sky. I had a great time painting this one.
