I painted this quick study in my studio from an image in my digital library. I actually can’t recall where this was, but I want to be there! Enjoy. Such a simple subject, but handled so well. Dynamite! Frank Gardner says: November 29, 2007 at 2:48 pm Good one Ed, I especially like all those colors in the foreground. That little patch of light under the tree and the bits of blue above that really bring my eye into the painting. Ed Terpening says: November 30, 2007 at 2:52 am Wow, thanks guys for the feedback. I focuseed the most intense colors in that foreground light, and it appears to work well. i am also learning to apply greys much more effectively, which gives the more intense colors a stage to shine.
